Market Pricing/Job Analysis
& Mapping

Project – An Energy and Utilities company was moving from salary ranges to salary bands and needed a consultant to oversee the conversion of management jobs to bands and complete market pricing

 

Scope – Led the project and collaborated with current compensation and HR staff as well as management staff to review job descriptions, market price positions, create salary bands for different management levels

 

Results – Project was successfully completed within the time frame established. Project was extended to work on non-management jobs.

Compensation
& Salary Administration

Project – A Utilities organization had a salary administration plan that needed a full review every other year but did not have an internal Human Resources compensation expert

 

Scope - External market data was analyzed to compare current salaries to market data to determine if current salaries are competitive or in-line with market rates.  Salary Ranges were reviewed and updated.

 

Result – Result of findings was presented to the Board and salary administration plan was approved and implemented.  

Labor Rate Development/Comp Strategy

Project – A small Engineering Services Company was in need of an experienced compensation consultant to develop labor rates, salary grades and ranges and provide proposal support.

 

Scope – RFP’s were reviewed and labor rates and salary ranges were developed based on scope of job and work.  

 

Result – Worked as a strategic partner with program management in the review of Request for Proposals and development and timely submission of proposals.

Salary Structures/Data Analysis & Reporting

Project – A Hospital/Health Care Provider requested a review of their jobs against external market data for competitiveness.

 

Scope – Analyzed market data from five external salary surveys and completed an analysis based on market data and internal equity.

 

Result – Presented findings and recommendations to adjust salary structures and budget for salary adjustments for positions below a certain compa ratio.

Salary Surveys & Planning

Project – A Pharmaceutical company had experienced turnover for their compensation analyst position and needed a resource to fill in while recruiting for a full time replacement.

 

Scope – Supported the Compensation department by analyzing and market pricing jobs and completing, submitting and validating salary surveys.

 

Result – Company was able to take the time to recruit for the best candidate for their position while every day duties were being completed and salary surveys were submitted on time.
